No. 115: Forgotten Ford

In 1984, someone decided not to renew his/her registration. If you’re doing the math, that was 33 years ago.
And so the years passed. Paint flaked and popped off steel forged in Pittsburgh. Rust burrowed into chrome that once shone like ice on a sunny day.
The sun and rain did their worst.
Humans contributed, too. Note the dent.
Now, this 1949 Ford F-5 (1.5 ton, one of the big boys of 70 years ago) carries nothing heavier than a load of Georgia foothills dust. Emerson, 35 miles north of Atlanta.
